As a means of expanding services at the Miraval Resort and Spa outside
Tucson, a spa garden was created with luxury safari tents housing
individual treatment rooms to supplement the facilities of the famed spa.
Each tent features a private ocotillo-fenced garden and outdoor |>>
shower with pots of fragrant herbs and native desert plants. Inside, each
room is paved in native stone flooring with a cast concrete sink vanity
containing storage for spa products and linens. A mirror hangs on a back
wall of saguaro-ribs so the guest may enjoy views of the garden <<|>>
and distant mountains from any position. The spa garden provides a private
retreat within a resort for an indulgent afternoon getaway. Other design
work at Miraval includes a collection of new guest rooms and two dozen
furnished condominium villas with detached casitas. <<|
